Volunteers distribute emergency food bags and boxes to their communities in McDuffie and Aiken counties.

In such a time as this, as countless families face unimaginable challenges in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, Golden Harvest Food Bank offers our deepest sympathy to all who have been impacted. The storm’s devastation has touched thousands across our area, but our commitment to this community is unwavering. We stand beside you, determined to support recovery at every step of the journey.

Even before Helene, we were confronting the highest levels of food insecurity our region has seen in 15 years. After the storm, we sprang into action, coordinating with local partners, food banks across the country, and state and national organizations to ensure an immediate and effective response. With guidance and encouragement from leaders at all levels, we worked tirelessly to provide food, water, and resources where they were most needed. In October alone, we distributed over 2.4 million meals to families across our 24-county service area.

This extraordinary response would not have been possible without our volunteers and partners. From local community members who packed and delivered supplies to national organizations that sent critical resources, the collective outpouring of support has been nothing short of inspiring. Your efforts have brought not only relief but also hope to those facing overwhelming challenges.

As the recovery process unfolds, we know the road ahead will be long. The need remains great, and we rely on your continued support to sustain our efforts. Every contribution—whether it’s time, energy, or financial—makes a significant difference in rebuilding lives and communities.
