Dear Friends,
As a new school year begins, many families are settling back into familiar routines: packing backpacks, adjusting schedules, and making sure there is enough food for the week ahead. But for too many of our neighbors, the rising cost of groceries, fuel, and other essentials is making those decisions harder.
We are feeling those same pressures at Golden Harvest. Higher fuel costs affect the trucks traveling across our 24-county service area each week, while food resources are down at a time when families need us most.
Still, I am reminded every day of what is possible when our community comes together. Every gift of food, every dollar donated, and every hour volunteered helps keep our trucks moving and food reaching neighbors across Georgia and South Carolina.
As students return to the classroom, thank you for standing with the families working hard to give them a strong start. Together, we can make sure our neighbors have the food and hope they need for the year ahead.
Grace and peace,
