(l-r): Women of Woodside members Jane Buege, Debbie Behlke, and Susan Potter got into the Spooky spirit as they collected donations for Woodside’s 2021 It’s Spooky To be Hungry® campaign.

When asked what made her organization get involved in the 2021 It’s Spooky To Be Hungry® campaign, Women of Woodside Co-Chair for Community Outreach Linda Vieweg said it was a no-brainer. “Golden Harvest Food Bank serves Aiken County, and we wanted to support our community, especially with holiday needs coming up,” she shared.

Women of Woodside members went all out to make their Spooky drive a success, with 75 members volunteering to accept donations outside their neighborhood’s gates for two days. The members even got into the Spooky spirit with creative costumes.

Thanks to their efforts, Women of Woodside raised an amazing $19,100 – enough to provide 57,300 meals in Aiken County. “We want to thank everyone for their generosity and the big hearts that we have throughout Woodside and in our Aiken community,” Linda said. “It was a great experience of camaraderie, friendship, having fun together, and doing good.”
