Volunteers from Nutrien helped sort and package tomatoes to be distributed directly to families.

After a few years of planning and executing, we are finally welcoming in our community members to join alongside us at our new Volunteer Center! Thank you for being patient as we expanded our facilities to better serve our neighbors in need.

The new space allows us to increase the number of people necessary to help advance our mission of feeding those in need. We can now also better support our agency partners, who stand on the frontlines of combating food insecurity across our 25 counties in Georgia and South Carolina.

Our community conference room and newly designed workspaces offer environments for collaborative meetings with businesses and organizations. These spaces also provide the opportunity for gathering upstairs and an effortless transition to volunteering opportunities downstairs in the same building.

We hit the ground running with this new space by bringing in volunteer groups to help with our annual Its Spooky To Be Hungry® food and funds drive, and to also sort and package donated foods from local and regional farmers that were distributed to families during a direct distribution held in October.

Across the street from our main warehouse location and volunteer center will be our new Produce Rescue Center, which is currently under construction with plans of completion in the spring. This new structure will be equipped with more refrigeration and storage capacities that will be essential to bringing in more food items needed to feed our community, as well as additional office space to accommodate members of the Golden Harvest team.

We appreciate your patience as we continue to build a fresher future. Your solidarity has been a great source of strength for us and we thank you for standing with us.
