Augusta’s soon-to-open grocery store, FreshTake, is already proving that its mission goes beyond just providing food—it’s about serving people. When Hurricane Helene delayed their grand opening, the FreshTake team didn’t let the setback stop them. Instead, they refocused their efforts to support Golden Harvest Food Bank.

From packing meals to mopping floors, the FreshTake team brought their energy, heart, and humor to every task. “When you see the faces of the people you’re helping, it’s just amazing,” shared Shannon Blackburn, manager of FreshTake.

Their spirit of giving is truly contagious, with associates even volunteering on weekends. “The little time we give makes a huge impact,” Shannon added. “There’s laughter, teamwork, and positivity—it makes you want to keep coming back.”

As FreshTake prepares to welcome shoppers, they’ve already made a lasting impact by investing in the community they will soon serve. We are deeply grateful for FreshTake’s commitment to serving our neighbors in need.
