What To Donate

Thank you for donating food to Golden Harvest Food Bank!

Before you make a donation of food items, please review these lists to best support seniors, families and kids struggling with hunger in our area. Best rule of thumb? Think about what you like to put on your table.

Our warehouses are open to receive donations M-F from 8 am – 12 pm and 1 pm – 5 pm. We close for lunch from 12 pm -1 pm.

Most Wanted Food Items

  • Low sodium canned vegetables

  • No sugar added canned fruit

  • Canned meats & seafood

  • Nuts and nut butters, especially low-sugar or no-sugar options

  • Low sugar jams and jellies

  • Whole grain pasta and rice

  • Whole grain cereal and oats

  • Dried beans, peas and lentils

  • Other nutritious foods (preferably healthy, whole grain, low-sodium and low-sugar products)

What Not To Donate

Golden Harvest Food Bank cannot accept:

  • Rusty or unlabeled cans

  • Opened or used food items

  • Homemade food items

  • Non-commercial canned or packaged items

  • Alcoholic beverages

  • Perishable, frozen or refrigerated items from individual donors (for food safety/storage reasons, we procure these through special partnerships with food retailers and manufacturers)
