What We're doing now
Our vision is to end hunger in our service area within Georgia and South Carolina.
Senior Food BoxGolden Harvest provides at-risk seniors living on a fixed income with a free 18-20 pound box of groceries each month. Last year we distributed monthly groceries to more than 1,000 seniors.
BackPackThe BackPack program provides over 4,500 children at-risk of hunger with a supply of easy-open, nutritious foods for the weekend.
Master's TableThe Master's Table Soup Kitchen serves about 300 hot lunchtime meals each day, 365 days a year. Our state-of-the-art soup kitchen facility includes prayer rooms, an organic community garden, and indoor seating for 152 guests.
DistributionDistributing food is our core activity, and we need your help to get it done.
Where We're Headed
Based on current growth, we’re on track to distribute more than 50 million lbs. of food over the next three years. That’s 42.5 million meals, 120,000 volunteer hours, and 1.2 million family visits from our network of 300 partner agencies.
Efficient Food Sourcing
Work with our vast network of food suppliers to reduce cost, improve quality, and increase quantity of purchased food.
Develop and evaluate new business models that channel 100% of profits back to the community through our signature feeding programs.
Expand our focus on spreading the word of God by expanding our Master’s Table ministry program, working even more closely with area churches, and assist our ministry minded partners in developing means of serving the whole person and meeting both the physical and spiritual needs of those who come for assistance.
Create new and utilize existing innovative technologies that increase operational effectiveness, both internally and for our more than 300 partner agencies.
Increase agency fundraising capacity, implement new training programs, and bolster access to resources and technologies that allow them to feed more people in need.
