NALC Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive
During the annual "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive sponsored by the National Association of Letter Carriers, local letter carriers collect food from community members to feed the hungry in our area.
When: Saturday, May 13
Simply leave a bag of food by your mailbox on Saturday, May 13 before your letter carrier stops by, and your letter carrier will deliver it to Golden Harvest or your local food pantry. You can also swing by your local post office with your food donation on that day.
Feed the hungry by volunteering to "Stamp out Hunger!" Volunteers are needed in Aiken and downtown Augusta on Saturday, May 13 in 2-4 hour shifts between 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Contact Events Coordinator Carrie Jones at email@example.com for more info and to sign up for a shift.
You will help to collect food from incoming postal vehicles at a local post office. Volunteers should be comfortable standing for 2-3 hours and lifting 5-10 lbs repeatedly. Recommended age is 13 years old.
