‘Since coming to Golden Harvest, I’ve had an opportunity to impact the lives of many of the people they serve,” she says, “so that’s something I’m very proud of.”
A South Augusta native, Johnson got her insurance license seven years ago and now, as a Well Care benefits consultant, spends at least two mornings a month counseling those in need at The Master’s Table about their insurance options.
“Many of the people we serve are food-insecure — they have to make decisions between getting food to eat and getting their medications and that breaks my heart,” Johnson says.
Some disabled and senior guests qualify for free health care and medication benefits – they just don’t know the help is out there, she adds. And that’s where Barbie comes in.
“Whether it’s your grandmother or your neighbor, we can help them,” she says.
If you or someone you know is struggling and would like to know more, Barbie is available at 706.755.9971!
