The Master’s Table Soup Kitchen Open to Evacuees Starting Saturday

UPDATE 10/10/2016– The evening emergency meal for hurricane evacuees has been discontinued as refugees from Hurricane Matthew are able to return to their homes.

Augusta, GA.,– Golden Harvest Food Bank’s soup kitchen, The Master’s Table, will be open from 4:00-6:00 p.m. to serve dinner for evacuees from Hurricane Matthew starting Saturday, October 8th . Representatives from Goodwill and Helm’s College will be assisting Golden Harvest staff in preparing these emergency meals.

The Master’s Table is located in downtown Augusta at 702 Fenwick Street. Parking is available across the street at the James Brown Arena. Dinner for evacuees will be served from 4:00- 6:00 pm, starting Saturday, continuing through the week or until the need is met. The meal is offered at no charge to evacuees.

The normal lunch meal is served beginning at 11 a.m. every day, 365 days a year. This lunch will continue to be served to anyone in need of a meal.
