Local letter carriers helped Golden Harvest to collect a record 180,214 pounds of food during this year’s National Association of Letter Carriers Food Drive. The 23rd Annual NALC Food Drive took place on May 9th, gathering 70.6 million pounds of food across the Untied States. In the CSRA, Golden Harvest marshalled the help of 63 volunteers at 10 local Post Offices to collect food that the letter carriers picked up on their routes. The generosity of the community was tremendous: Georgia mail carriers collected 93,597 pounds of food, and South Carolina brought in 84,947 pounds. Many thanks to the National Association of Letter Carriers, the United States Post Office, local letter carriers, our volunteers, and to you for making this a record-breaking Letter Carrier Drive!
